Pagio decide to Play It Green
After planting 10,198 trees and funding 45 projects with Ecologi, we have decided to partner with Play It Green as our partner going forward.
We have decided to work with this company as they are even more aligned with our own values. We wanted to ensure that the trees were being planted and making a difference, which with Play It Green, we can see this with total transparency.
Working with Play It Green, we will be funding the planting of Mangroves, Agroforestry and Kelp. We believe a mix of this will truly make a difference, especially with agroforestry in the local communities which will offer a bright future for them.
The tree planting projects aid in generating employment, bolstering local communities, and assisting in breaking the cycle of poverty. For instance, in Kwale, Kenya, direct employment opportunities arise from planting and safeguarding mangroves. Subsequently, the revitalised areas, abundant in biodiversity, offer sustainable fishing grounds, thereby fostering additional employment opportunities.
The other thing that stood out to us was the fact that Play It green provide education and tools to reduce footprints and give 10% back to your charity of choice, which we absolutely love as we are all about giving back.
Play It Green collaborated with Eden to plant 400,000 trees between 2021 and 2023. Watch this video demonstrating how the employment opportunities generated have had a positive social impact.
